I currently use a graphic
program that uses a parallel port lock. I have been having problems
printing and using my Zip drive. I have tried running the system without
the lock (which defeats my software) and that solves my problem. Can you
help?

We have a milling program
that requires a hardware lock. On the occasions that this lock dies it
costs the factory a considerable amount of money.

We had a break-in last
night and as a result of that, the computer was stolen and the parallel
port key was broken beyond use.

Currently a legal user of
software protected by hardware lock (port block between printer &
port). Have upgraded computer & networked, now cannot get in contact
with the software provider (out of business?).

I would like to know what
is involved in bypassing a hardware lock for my program. The reason I want
to bypass this is that I am running Windows NT and when I print the program
tends to lock up. I think it is some kind of conflict with the dongle
because the program locks even if I print from another application.

To make a long story
short our company lost a hardware lock at a trade show to some pricey
graphics software. Of course there is no way to prove this to the software
manufacturer. Bottom line, $2,000.00 to get another lock!! Please advice if
you can help in this matter.

How do I go about
removing the hardware lock from my licensed copy of software. I have had to
replace 3 locks in 2 months, each time causing delays in drawing output.

I am a licensed owner of
appraisal software and had a devastating experience yesterday. My hardware
block went (don't know how or why!) I am under the gun to complete work
fast and now am totally inconvenienced and am losing business while I wait
for a new one to arrive. (Only allowed to have 1 at a time!!!) Is there a
way to remove this so I NEVER have this problem again?? I believe this
protection strategy is potentially devastating to the single users out
there whose livelihood depends on them working properly. Let me know if
your company provides this fix!
